Exactly one year after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, Simona and Lorenzo Perrone—known as Libri Bianchi—unveiled an installation that will remain on display until the end of the war.

The 365 “wounded books” that have been standing in front of the Biblioteca Sormani since Friday, February 24, will be joined by a new book each day, symbolizing one more day marked by violence. Hoping the pile does not grow too high, there will also be calls to action for citizens to contribute and add more wounded books together.
