Arianna Matta was born in Rome in 1979, and her passion for art led her to earn a degree from the D.A.M.S. program in Rome, followed by a master’s in aesthetic and museum communication. In 2009, she attended courses at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA), and in 2011 she was among the finalists of the Premio Arte Laguna in Venice.

The geometry that structures Arianna Matta’s painting represents her very personal way of interpreting contemporary reality. The artist employs various tools to create, using Zygmunt Bauman’s metaphor, a “liquid” vision of the world, in which all points of reference disappear and everything dissolves into a state of instability. Her dynamic painting, rich in light and color, deconstructs spaces and objects into multiple planes, generating visual interferences that destabilize the viewer’s gaze. This liquid vision expresses the uncertainty that pervades modern society.
